Sunday, 21st August, 2016

Acting Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 21st August, 2016 condemning the heinous and cowardice suicidal bomb attack on a wedding party in the Turkish Southern city of Gaziantep which killed at least 30 peoples and wounded 94 more.

“We are deeply shocked and mournful at the incident of this vicious bomb attack. We have no words to condemn such an act of terror.

The attackers, who are killing innocent people, are the enemy to the humanity, civilization and Islam. They must be resisted and tackled. We hope that the government of the brotherly nation of Turkey would take due initiatives to find out the terrorists and to ensure their stern punishment.

I am praying for the salvation of the departed souls who have been killed in this gruesome terror attack and also extending deep sympathy to their mournful families and the injured victims. In addition, we are expressing our empathy and solidarity to the people and the government of Turkey. We are also praying for the quick recovery of the injury victims.”
