Police has unlawfully arrested Kishorganj district Jamaat’s working committee member Professor Mosaddek Ali Bhuiyan. In another incident, some plain cloth dressed up policemen arrested Islami Chhatrashibir activist Rezwan from Benapole Bazar on last 4th August but since then they are denying the arrest claim. Central Executive Committee member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of the Parliament Hamidur Rahman Azad has issued the following statement on 8th August, 2016 protesting the aforesaid incidents.

“Police has arrested Kishorganj district Jamaat’s working committee member Professor Mosaddek Ali Bhuiyan unlawfully and without any charge just to harass him politically. Throughout the country, police are detaining the innocent activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatrashibir and caused huge suffering to them. Not only that, after the arrest, police are denying their arrest claim and thus they are attaining their ill political interest.

While some plain cloth dressed policemen had arrested Islami Chhatrashibir activist Rezwan from Benapole Bazar of the Jessore district. But till now, police are not admitting his arrest. His family, relatives and well wishers are in deep tension and panic as the law enforcers ignoring his arrest claim.

I am urging the concerned authorities to give Rezwan back to his parents and to release all the detained leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatrashibir including Kishorganj district Jamaat’s working committee member Professor Mosaddek Ali Bhuiyan immediately.”
