Hamidur Rahman Azad rejects the false report of Daily Janakantha; disapproves the charges of any involvement with violence
Wednesday, 07th September, 2016

Central Executive Committee member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Hamidur Rahman Azad has issued the following statement on 7th September, 2016 gainsaying the false report of Daily Janakantha titled “মীর কাসেমের  ফাঁসির মধ্য দিয়ে  শেষ হল  আরাকানিস্তান  তৎপরতা (Finally Arakanistan activities comes to an end following the execution of Mir Quasem) published today at the last page of the daily.

“As the report of the Daily Janakantha referred about the so called establishment of free Islamic Arakanistan, we have no idea about the issue. So no question is emanated about the involvement of Shaheed Mir Quasem Ali with any such activities.

The report also claimed that based on the financing of Shaheed Mir Quasem Ali, Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir became active in launching anarchy and violence in the Cox’s Bazar region. The claim is completely false. Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatrashibir have no relation with such violence.

So I am urging the authority of Daily Janakantha to be refrained from publishing false report implicating Shaheed Mir Quasem Ali, Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatrashibir in future.”
