Hamidur Rahman Azad disapproves the false report of several online news portal
Friday, 02nd September, 2016

Central Executive Committee member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of the Parliament Hamidur Rahman Azad has issued the following statement on 2nd September, 2016 gainsaying the confusing and false reports of and few other online news portal titled কনডেম সেলে অঝোর ধারায় কাঁদছেন মীর কাসেম (Mir Quasem burst into tears inside the condemn cell).

“ and few other online news portals made a report saying that after hearing the verdict on day before yesterday, Mir Quasem Ali started crying and since Thursday morning, he cried for several times. This information is nothing but a sheer lie.

Responding to the false and baseless report of and few other news portals, I want to say clearly that, this report is a worst ever effort to demonize the character of Mir Quasem Ali. Mr. Mir Quasem Ali is a firm and courageous leader. When his family members went to visit him, he boldly said, he is completely innocent. He has been implicated with this false case only for his involvement with the Islamic movement.

Earlier, prior to submit review petition, he told his lawyers that, “I have no nexus with the allegations brought against me. If I am murdered unjustifiably, it would be martyrdom. I am not worried for my death.

There is no chance of being worried after hearing the death penalty in a false and conspiracy case. The leaders and activists of the Islamic movement are always ready to accept martyrdom. So the claim about his cry is fully false and void.

I am urging the authority of and other online news portals to be refrained from publishing such false and baseless report in future.”
