Mia Ghulam Parwar lambasts at Rana Das and actor Pijush as they sought Indian interference to protect Bangladeshi minorities
Monday, 13th June, 2016

Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mia Ghulam Parwar has issued the following statement on 13th June, 2016 expressing deep wonder as the General Secretary of Bangladesh Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Forum Rana Das Gupta and noted actor Pijush Bondhopadhay has sought the interference of the Indian Prime Minister Norendra Modi for protecting Bangladeshi minorities while giving interview with the news agency PTI.

“We have noticed that the General Secretary of Bangladesh Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Forum Rana Das Gupta and noted actor Pijush Bondhopadhay has sought the interference of the Indian Prime Minister Norendra Modi for protecting Bangladeshi minorities. Seeking Indian Premier’s interference actually they welcomed the unexpected interference of India in the domestic issues of Bangladesh.

Their call has exposed the Bangladesh government’s failure to protect the life, property and dignity of the citizens. This incident also proved that the minority communities in Bangladesh are extremely neglected and deprived. This government is unable to ensure their safety. This is a severe shame for the nation and would be recorded as a failure of the government. Besides, it is really humiliating and shameful for a nation if someone seeks the interference of another country for resolving its internal crisis.

Awami League’s failure and misdeeds are on the rise day by day. They should step down if they have minimum shame for their failures. It is the responsibility of the government to consider the statement of Rana Das Gupta and Pijush Bondopadhay on legal perspective and to take steps accordingly.”
