Police arrests pious ladies and her son from Tangail; Mia Ghulam Parwar protests
Wednesday, 13th July, 2016

Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mia Ghulam Parwar has issued the following statement on 13th July, 2016 protesting the unjust arrest of Mrs. Humaira Begum, the pious women hailed from Mirzapur of Tangail district and her son Sakib and similar unlawful arrest of Dinajpur North organizational district unit Chhatrashibir President Amanullah Sarkar.

“The authority has arrested Mrs. Humaira Begum and her son Sakib and Dinajpur district Shibir leader Amanullah Sarkar in a bid to harass politically and caused them sufferings. They are completely innocent.

Even the religious lady and her son are not spared from the repression of the government. Torture and oppression of the government has exceeded all the limits. I am calling upon the countrymen to raise voice against such suppression of the government.

I am urging the concerned authorities to release all the detained leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatrashibir including Tangail district’s MIrzapur resident Mrs. Humaira Begum and her son Sakib immediately.”
