Police kills Ex-Chhatrashibir leader in Jhinaidah in a so called gunfight; Mia Ghulam Parwar condemns
Saturday, 02nd July, 2016

Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mia Ghulam Parwar has issued the following statement on 2nd July, 2016 protesting and condemning the brutal murder incident as police shot former President of Islami Chhatrashibir Jhinaidah district town unit Ibnul Islam Parvez to dead on 1st July midnight.

The government has killed former President of Islami Chhatrashibir Jhinaidah district town unit Ibnul Islam Parvez in the name of gunfight just to attain its ill political interest. Police had arrested Ibnul Islam Parvez on last 16th June and since then they have been denying the arrest claim. Keeping Ibnul Islam Parvez for last 15 days, police has carried out intolerable torture against him.

Finally on last 1st June they killed him brutally in the name of gunfight. We along with the victim family are deeply shocked at this barbarous murder incident.

The law enforcement agencies have murdered some 79 people in last 6 months in the name of crossfire and gunfight. In order to make the nation leaderless, they are killing the leaders and activists of Jamaat, Chhatrashibir and the general youths indiscriminately. I am calling upon the countrymen to form unified resistance against such murders in a bid to stop such brutalities.

I am praying to Almighty Allah for the acceptance of martyrdom of Ibnul Islam Parvez. I am extending my deep sympathy to his mournful family, relatives and fellow brothers. May Allah bless them with strength to overcome the shock of losing their dear one.
