Professor Tasnim Alam disproves the false report of Daily Ittefaq
Saturday, 07th May, 2016
angladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s central publicity department’s secretary of, Professor Tasnim Alam has issued the following statement on 7th May, 2016 rejecting the false and baseless information published in a report of Bengali Daily ‘Ittefaq’ titled “সরকার উৎখাতের বৈঠক নিয়ে তোলপাড়” (Disturbance with the meeting for toppling the government) which claimed meeting held for several occasions from 10th to 14th March. A journalist of the Bangladeshi Hindu community was also present in that meet who is involved with the politics of Jamaat-e-Islami.
“The information which has been published in the report of Daily Ittefaq in regards to Jamaat-e-Islami is completely false and bogus. In response to that false information, I want to assert that no Hindu journalist is involved with the politics of Jamaat-e-Islami. Jamaat has no nexus with the meetings which had been reportedly held between 10th to 14th March. I am asking to disclose to disclose the name of the said Hindu journalist.
The Daily Ittefaq earlier published another report on 5th May titled ‘সরকার উৎখাতে এবার ‘মোসাদ’র অর্থায়ন’ (Now Mossad is financing for ousting the government) in which they stated that a Jamaat leader was present in the meeting which had been held in BNP leader’s room in London on last 18th March. While the same daily in today’s edition claimed that, a Hindu journalist, who is connected with the Jamaat politics were present in the meetings which had been reportedly held between 10th to 14th March. Such inconsistent information proved it’s baseless and incredibility. This fictitious report has been published just to damage the image of Jamaat-e-Islami.
I am urging the authority of Daily Ittefaq not to publish such fictitious report in future and expecting that they would publish this rejoinder properly to minimize public confusion.”
