Acting Ameer urges to offer special prayer seeking release of Maulana Nizami
Tuesday, 03rd May, 2016
Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following statement on 3rd May, 2016 urging the people of Bangladesh, living in home and abroad to offer special prayer seeking immediate release of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer, renowned religious scholar and former minister Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami.

“The government has kept Maulana Nizami behind the bar to attain its ill political interest. Maulana Nizami has become the worst victim of the state sponsored conspiracy. The government, based on sheer lie and falsehood, has concocted an intentional case implicating him with some baseless and fictitious allegations. In addition, the government has produced own party men as false witness to confirm his execution.

Under the circumstance, we are surrendering humbly before Almighty Allah and seeking His blessing and mercy to ensure justice for Maulana Nizami. Besides, I am calling upon the people of Bangladesh, living in home and abroad to offer special prayer seeking immediate release of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer, renowned religious scholar and former minister Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami.”
