Hamidur Rahman Azad rejects Home Minister’s untrue remark; Jamaat has no connection with any murder incident
Tuesday, 26th April, 2016

Central Executive Committee member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Hamidur Rahman Azad has issued the following statement on 26th April, 2016 protesting and condemning the untrue remark of the Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal which he has delivered today while talking to journalists in the secretariat in which he claimed that the double murder of Kolabagan had taken place as per the instruction of the 20 party alliances.

“Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal’s remark in which he blamed 20 party alliances for the double murder incidents of Kolabagan is completely false. It becomes a bad habit of the ministers and the ruling party leaders to blame 20 party alliances particularly Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatrashibir for any offence.

In this regard, we want to affirm that we have no involvement with the double murder incident. The government is intentionally blaming the political opponents just to hide their own failure.

Jamaat and Chhatrashibir do not believe in the politics of terrorism. So Home Minister cannot deny his liability by delivering false statement against them.

The number of murder incidents has rapidly increased in now days and its entire responsibility goes upon the Home Minister and the government. He should resign immediately taking that liability. But denying to do so, he is blaming others just to avoid his responsibility.

The countrymen think, he is blaming the opposition quarters in order to hide the real criminals. For the sake of proper investigation of the double murder incident, I am urging the Home Ministers and the concerned authorities to stop the heinous politics of blame game immediately.”
