Professor Mujib protests the false remark of ICT investigation team’s chief coordinator against Jamaat Ameer
Monday, 14 November 2016
Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following statement on 14th November, 2016 vehemently protesting the false remark of the coordinator of the investigation agency of the international crimes tribunal Abdul Hannan Khan which he has made while addressing a press conference at his office saying that ‘primary evidences are found of Jamaat Ameer Maqbul Ahmad’s involvement with the crimes against humanity.’

“Maqbul Ahmad was a teacher of a renowned school of Feni district in 1971. At that time, he was neither Razakar or Razakar commander nor the organizer of the peace committee or its member. So no question is raised at all of getting primary evidences of his involvement with the crimes against humanity during the war of liberation.

He was not involved with the Razakar force. So how his name would be found in the list of Razakars? The allegation which is raised for his abetting in the murder of 7/11 peoples or the then East Pakistan Chhatra Union leader and freedom fighter Maulana Wazuddin is completely false. He was not involved with any incident of murder.

False allegations are being brought against him in order to implicate him with false cases.

I am urging the concerned authorities to be refrained from harassing Maqbul Ahmad politically by placing false and baseless allegations against him.”
