Professor Mujib voices to include Ebtedayee Madrasa teachers in the national play scale
Sunday, 13 November 2016

Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of the Parliament Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following statement on 13th November, 2016 urging the authority to accept the demand of including the Ebtedayee Madrasa teachers into the national pay scale.

“The concerned authority should accept the justifiable demand of including the Ebtedayee Madrasa teachers into the national pay scale. The independent Ebtedayee Madrasa teachers have been carrying out movement for many days for their inclusion in the national pay scale. The education minister had promised to meet their demand for many times, but did not implement it so far. Off 6,848 independent Ebtedayee Madrasa, the education minister had increased the salary of 1,519 Ebtedayee Madrasa teachers from previous 500 to 1000 taka. The teachers of rest of the 2,329 independent Ebtedayee Madrasa still have been continuing the noble profession of teaching with almost no salaries. It is shameful for the entire nation.

The teachers who are still receiving 500 taka salary per month, in an average they are getting just 16.67 taka daily. They cannot even manage the breakfast or Tiffin with this little amount of money. It is a mockery indeed. If they situation continues, how will they continue their job. So it is the demand of justice to include them in the similar scale of the primary school teachers. I am drawing the attention of the education minister and the concerned authorities in this regard.

Finally, I am calling upon the authorities concerned not to go for any more tricks and to accept the justifiable and humanitarian demand of the independent Ebtedayee Madrasa teachers immediately.”
