Ansar man stabbed to death at Dhaka airport
Monday, 07 November 2016

An Ansar man stabbed a security staff to death and injured three others on Sunday at the capital’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, before being caught.

The deceased was Sohagh Ali, an Ansar member, employed for security of the airport, police said. However, the police did not disclose the name of the attacker.

Armed Police Battalion (APBN) police superintendent Tanjina Akter told media that the attacker, a cleaner of the airport employed by AK Traders, tried to enter the airport through gate No. 3 carrying a knife in his hand.

When the man was stopped by the on-duty Ansar men, he stabbed them with the sharp weapon.

Airport police station officer-in-charge Nur-e-Azam confirmed the incident.
