19 people killed in road accidents in just 4 days; Acting Ameer condoles

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following statement on 9th July, 2016 expressing deep condolence as at least 19 people have been killed and 55 others became injured in several incidents of road accidents from 5th to 8th July in different places of the country including Rangpur, Narayanganj, Natore, Manikganj, Shatkhira, Shariatpur, Mymensingh, Barisal and Dinajpur.

“Alarming number of road accidents which killed 19 people and wounded 55 more in just 4 days is really painful. I am calling upon the concerned authorities to provide due compensation to the victim families who had lost their members in those road mishaps and also to the injured people. We hope that the authorities would make a sound investigation into these accidents and try to bring those people to the justices who are responsible for these accidents.

I am praying for the salvation for those people who had been killed in these road accidents and also extending my deep sympathy to the victims. I am also praying for the quick recovery of the wounded people.”
