BSF killed 591 Bangladeshis in last 10 years
Saturday, 11 June 2016

A total of 591 Bangladeshi citizens have been killed by Indian Border Force and Indian citizens in last 10 years.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told the parliament while replying to a query of the ruling party lawmaker Md Ayen Uddin recently.

The minister said that the issue of border killing was discussed in the BGB-BSF high level meeting this year.

He also said the Director General of BSF agreed to bring the border killing to zero.

The high level BGB-BSF meeting also decided to investigate the incidents of border killings and take legal action against the culprits after proper investigation, he said.

“Analysing the statistics, it is seen that the rate of Bangladeshi citizens killing in the border has dropped compared to the previous years. We hope that the rate will drop further,” the minister said.
