Mir Quasem appeal hearing in SC cause list

Appeal hearing of Jamaat-e-Islami\'s central executive committee member Mir Quasem Ali’s against a tribunal verdict which had awarded him with death penalty has been enlisted in today\'s (Tuesday’s) cause list of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.   According to the Supreme Court website today, the appeal hearing of Mir Quasem is at the today`s cause list 6.   A four-member bench led by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha of the Appellate Division is set to hear the appeal of Mir Quasem Ali.      On the 3rd November of 2014, former leader of pro-Islamic student organization, Chhatra Shangha, Mir Quasem was awarded capital punishment by the International Crimes Tribunal 2 for the alleged war crimes during the war of independence in Bangladesh.   On November 30, 2014, Quasem Ali appealed to the Supreme Court against the death sentence.
