Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following statement on 3rd December, 2015 expressing deep concern and condolence over massive damage and casualties due to massive flood in the Tamil Nadu province of India which has been caused because of continuous and torrential rain.  Already some 200 people have been killed due to massive flood in the Tamil Nadu province of India and subsequently many roads and establishments including the roads structures of provincial capital Chennai have been submerged. The flight movement has become stopped as the runway of the airport has been submerged. Besides, the roads and rail communication have become suspended almost as the rail lines and roads had gone under water. It is said that this province did not witness such natural calamities in past hundred years. I hope the government of India and the provincial government of Tamil Nadu would be able to overcome the loss of this disaster shortly. I am extending my deep sympathy and condolence to the disaster victims and to the government of India.”
