Acting Ameer condoles over death of 24 Bangladeshi people in Libya boat capsize accident; blames government for its failure to create employment opportunities
Monday, 31 August 2015
Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following statement on 30th August, 2015 expressing deep shock and condolence at a boat capsize incident in the Libyan coast that killed 24 Bangladeshi people in which he alleged that Bangladeshi people are experiencing tragic death while going abroad for employment as the government failed to manage working opportunities.
The poverty stricken and impoverished people are going abroad only for working opportunities. Though they are leaving home for managing bread and butter, but their death over there is really tragic and unfortunate. I am calling upon the government to bring back the Bangladeshi expatriates living in Libya and also to provide due compensation to their families.
I am praying to Almighty Allah for the salvation of the departed souls who had died in boat capsize accident in the Libyan coast and also extending my sympathy to the victim families.”
