Saturday, 24 October 2015
Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following statement on 24th October, 2015 condemning and expressing his deep concern as a youth killed and over hundred people injured in 3 consecutive bomb blasts in front of the Hosni Dalan of the capital on 23rd October midnight prior to a Tajia procession of the Shia community.
“We have no word to condemn and protest the brutal bomb blast that killed a youth and injured hundred others in front of the Hosni Dalan of the capital. The Shia communities in Bangladesh are used to bring out Tajia procession on the occasion 10th Muharram. But such an incident of bomb blast had never been seen before. It is completely an unprecedented incident. The law and order situation has been deteriorated rampantly during the current tenure and the bomb blast in front of the Hosni Dalan is another example of this claim.
The miscreants have dared to blast 3 bombs as the law enforcers are being used to attain government’s political interest now days. Casualties are happening now frequently due to weakness of the government. The ruling authority’s failure in maintaining law and order are being proved by these incidents.
I am calling upon the authorities concerned to investigate the bomb blasts incidents in front of the Hosni Dalan that killed a youth and injured hundred others in order to punish the real criminals.
I am praying for the salvation of the departed soul and extending deep sympathy to his family and relatives. I am also praying for the quickest recovery of the injured people.”
