Rajshahi district Jamaat leader and elected Upazila Chairman Maqbul Hossain dies; Acting Ameer condoles

A News of Condolence   Rajshahi city Jamaat advisory council member, distinguished academician, Rajshahi district’s Poba Upazila chairman Professor Maqbul Hossain died at the Rajshahi Medical college hospital on 28th September. Innalillahi Wa Inna ilaihi Rajiun. He was suffering from various diseases including diabetes and cardiac problem. He has been elected as the Chairman of the Poba Upazila for two terms. He was 60. He left his wife, two sons, a daughter and many other relatives and well wishers. Following the funeral prayer, he has been buried in the family graveyard in Poba Upazila of the district.   Condolence Statement Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following message of condolence at the death of Rajshahi city Jamaat advisory council member, distinguished academician, Rajshahi district’s Poba Upazila chairman Professor Maqbul Hossain. In the statement, Acting Ameer stated that deceased Maqbul Hossain was a dedicated man for the Islamic movement and a very popular leader. He had worked hard for the development of the Poba Upazila and welfare of the locals. As a social leader and academician, he has made significant contribution. May Allah accept all his noble deeds to bless him with Jannah. Acting Ameer also extended his sympathy to the family of the deceased and prayed so that they can tolerate the shock of this demise.
