Acting Ameer condoles at tragic stampede in Meena during Hajj that killed 769 pilgrims including 17 Bangladeshis

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following statement on 27th September, 2015 expressing deep shock and condolence over the tragic stampede in Meena during Hajj rituals that killed 769 pilgrims along with 17 Bangladeshi pilgrims and wounded another 934 pilgrims.
“The stampede accident in Meena during Hajj rituals is very mournful and tragic as 769 pilgrims along with 17 Bangladeshi pilgrims have been killed in the accident and another 934 pilgrims have become wounded. 98 Bangladeshi pilgrims are still missing since the accident.
I am praying to Almighty Allah seeking the salvation of the departed souls. May Allah allocate holy place in Jannah for all the deceased.  I am also praying for the quickest recovery of the wounded pilgrims.  Besides, I am extending my deep sympathy to the victim families and their relatives, and the people and the government of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
