Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following statement on 20th July, 2015 expressing deep shock and condolence as 17 people killed and more than 50 people got injured when two buses collided at Mulibari area of the Saidabad Union under Shirajganj district on last 19th July.
“I am expressing deep shock and condolence as 17 people killed and more than 50 people got injured when two buses collided at Mulibari area of the Saidabad Union under Shirajganj district on last 19th July. Through such gruesome accidents is taking place frequently, but no proper initiative steps are taken to stop that recurrence. Subsequently, many people died and many are becoming permanently crippled. Following such incidents, some actions are taken but actually those are nothing but a show off. I hope and believe that at least in this occasion, the concerned authorities would conduct a proper investigation into the accident to identify the real cause and would undertake proper initiatives to stop such road mishaps. They should also provide due compensation to the victims and proper medical treatment to the injured victims.
I am praying to Almighty Allah seeking salvation for the deceased and also for the victim families so that they can overcome the shock of losing their family members.”
