Acting Ameer congratulates the winners of the UK elections
Friday, 08 May 2015
Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following statement on 8th May, 2015 congratulating and felicitating the winners of the General Elections: 2015 in the United Kingdom.
“The ruling Conservatives have secured clear majority to form next government in the election of the House of Commons, the Lower House of the UK Parliament as the poll result revealed on Friday. We hope and believe, by clinching power once again in Britain, the storehouse of democracy, the Conservatives would play pivotal role to develop Britain as well as to develop the bilateral relations with Bangladesh. We further hope that, under the new government, the financial ties between Bangladesh and United Kingdom would be bolstered and the economic, trade and other activities would be facilitated more. We believe the new government would act significantly to establish democracy, human rights and rule of law in elsewhere of the world.
I am wishing great success and sound health of all the winners of the House of Commons elections who had been nominated by the Conservative, Labor and Scotland Nationalist Party and others.”
