Acting Ameer greets the countrymen on the occasion of holy Ramadan; put stress on attaining humanitarian characteristics
Thursday, 18 June 2015
Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following statement on 17th June, 2015 calls to protect the purity and solemnity of the holy month of Ramadan and to put stress on self construction through moulding of Taqwa based characters.
“The holy month of Ramadan is knocking at the door with the sacred message of Rahmat, Barkat and Nazat. The holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him) stated that, in this holy month of Ramadan, the first 10 days contains Rahmat, the second 10 days with Barkat and the last 10 days with the privilege of Nazat. In the last 10 days, there is a night which is better than thousands of months. If a farz (compulsory ritual) is performed in this month, it would return the reward the bounty of 70 farz and a nofol (optional ritual) would return the similar reward like a farz. This month is the month of patience and mutual respect and sympathy. I am urging all to observe the month with due sacred spirit and sincerity.
The month of Ramadan is the moth of revealing the holy Quran. Quran is best privilege for the entire humanity. To get the light and spirit of the holy Quran, a specific and purified characteristic is required and this is why, Almighty Allah has blessed us with the month of Ramadan. I am urging all to attain that spirit through fasting in this month of Ramadan.
It is the duty of the government to stop the practice of nudity and indecency in the month of Ramadan. It is also the responsibility of the government to maintain law and order and also to curb the price hike of the essentials. I am urging them to perform their duties properly and efficiently.
Besides, I am also drawing the attention of the businessmen to show respect to the fasting people by maintaining sustainability in the market of essentials and similarly by avoiding the mentality of earning more and more profit in this holy month.”
