Stop genocide and brutal repression upon Myanmar’s Rohingya Muslims, Acting Ameer calls the world communities
Saturday, 06 June 2015
Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following statement on 6th June, 2015 urging to stop mass killing and inhuman repression upon the Rohingya Muslims of Myanmar.
“The Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar has been experiencing brutal torture and repression for decades. Rohingyas of all walks including women, children, and aged people has been deplorable life due to this long term oppression. Even, the brutal miscreants set fire at the houses of the genocide victims and evacuated their families from their homes. Myanmar government has been carrying out barbarous crack down on the Muslim communities violating human rights. Failing to reside at the native land, these unfortunate people start naval journeys towards Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Many of them have sunken already and rest of the people are floating miserably. Such miseries not only cause the death of the Rohingyas but also bring a collapse of the humanity. It is the humanitarian obligation to come forward to save these impoverished people.
In this backdrop, I am urging all the human rights organizations and global forums including United Nations and OIC to take effective measures to stop torture, repression, genocide, mass killing, extermination and persecution of the Myanmar government against the Rohingya Muslims immediately.”
