Acting Ameer condolences at the Padma river launch capsize incident that kills 45 people; urges government to probe into the accident

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following statement on 22nd February, 2015 expressing deep shock and condolence over the Padma river mishap incident as ML Mostofa-3, was hit by cargo vessel MV Nargis-1 soon after it left Paturia dock in Manikganj at 11.30 in the morning today that left so far 45 people killed.
I am expressing my deep shock and condolence over the Padma river mishap incident as ML Mostofa-3, was hit by cargo vessel MV Nargis-1 soon after it left Paturia dock in Manikganj at 11.30 in the morning today that left so far 45 people killed. I hope that naval transportation authority would investigate into the accident properly to take punitive measures against the personnel who had been involved with this painful accident. I also expect that the government would provide due compensation to the victim families who had been killed in this tragic accident.
I am praying to Almighty Allah seeking His salvation for the deceased and extending my deep sympathy to their families. May Allah bless them with strength to tolerate this shock of this irreparable loss.
