Case of Muzahid has been transferred to the Tribunal-2

The case against the Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Isalmi, erstwhile minister Ali Ahsan Mohammad Muzahid as to crimes against humanity has been transferred from the tribunal-1 to Tribunal-2. Such order has been made by the Tribunal Chairman Nizamul Hoque Nasim after hearing the  application of prosecution fr such transfer. Before this order the case against Assistant  Secretary General Mohammad Kamaruzzaman, Abdul Kader Mullah and BNP Leader and previous minister Abdul Alim has been transferred to The Tribunal-2 .Muzahid has been arrested on June 29, 2009 for attacking  religious feelings and Investigation officer started investigation on July 21, 2011 and He was shown arrest on August 21, 2011. Prosecution submitted the investigation report on November 1, 2011 and second tribunal has been constituted on March 25, 2011 to make the trial of crime against humanity speedy and the Ordinance has been made by the President to transfer the case from one tribunal to another tribunal.
Bail application has been rejected on Grenade attack case:
The court has rejected the bail application of Ali Ahsan Mohammad Muzahid, Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Speedy Tribunal-1 of Dhaka, Judge Shahed Nur Uddin sitting in the special bench of Nazim Uddin road rejected the bail application and special prosecutor added that other lawyers of other six accused cross-examined The sub-inspector of police, Sharif Ahmed. One of such accused is absentia accused and he is the political secretary of Khaleda Zia, Haris Chowdhury. Abu Tayeb appointed by the state maintenance cross-examined sub-inspector in favor of Haris Chowdhury.
Judge Shahed Nur Uddin fixed the next date April 30, 2012 and lawyers of ten accused cross-examined the plaintiff.Prevous six officer got release on bail April 9, 2012, they are IGP Md. Ashraful Huda, Shohudul Hoque, Khuda Bokhs Chowdhury, prevuos special police super Md. Rohul Amin, Assistant police super of CID Munshi Atiqur Rahman and Abdur Rashid.
