Hearing on the Discharge application of Qamruzzaman and Abdul qader Mullah from allegation on tomorrow
Wednesday, 11 April 2012
Wednesday, 11th April, 2012
The Hearing on the application for discharge of Qamruzzaman and Abdul Qader Mullah from allegation brought by the prosecution for so called war crimes, murder, rape .conflagration etc done during liberation war will be held on tomorrow. The date for hearing on this application has been determined by the Tribunal on April 1, 2012 though such date has been cancelled on April 9,2012 by the tribunal because the chief defence lawyer Barrister Abdur Razzaq was absent staying abroad .So the defence lawyer was not agreed to continue hearing. Advocate Farid Uddin Khan said to the Tribunal for changing the date. Prosecutor Mohammad Ali opposed such application. Later on the Tribunal determined Tomorrow  as the date for hearing.
Though such date has been fixed on Tomorrow , the possibility for holding hearing on Tuesday is very little as the investigation officer is continuously giving testimony against Allama Delowar Hosssain Sayedee  that may continue for some days and Tribunal has already said that the testimony will be taken first .So if the Testimony of the investigation officer gives his evidence the hearing of the discharge application will have little chance to be heard for which another hearing date may be fixed.
However,Abdul Qader Mullah  has been brought from the Kashimpur Jail (Gazipur) in Dhaka as the date was fixed for hearing. Since hearing was not held, abdul Qader Mullah has been sent to Kashimpu Jainl again.
