Thursday, 05 December 2013
The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Thursday released its full text of the verdict that had sentenced Jamaat’s assistant secretary general Abdul Quader Molla to death.
A five-member bench headed by the Chief Justice Md. Muzammel Hossain delivered an operative part of verdict against Abdul Quader Molla on September 17.
The prosecution, referring to ICT act, said that the release of the full text verdict would pave the way for initiating execution of Quader Molla who is now in Kashimpur jail. Later, Mr. Abdul Quader Molla has been transferred to Dhaka central jail in the afternoon.
The defence counsel, said Abdul Quader Molla is entitled to file a petition with the Appellate Division in 30 days to review the verdict.
