Prosecution has finished his argument in the case of Mujahid: Defense party will start their argument on 22 May.

Prosecution’s Final arguments has been finished in the case of so called crimes against humanity against Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former Minister Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid last Thursday. They made their arguments for four days. Tribunal -2 has directed defense party to make arguments from 22 May. The arguments in various law points have been presented on behalf of Prosecution last Thursday. They said in their logic Muzahid was involved with different kinds of crime as a main person of Al- Badar forces during liberation war. Though investigation officer of the case Abdur Razzak said in his deposition he could not find the name of Muzahid in the list of Razaker. On the other hand it is said further in Prosecution’s argument one of the author of Pakistan mentioned in his writings that Mujahid was a Al-Badar leader. But prosecution could not mention any sources or references from this book in response to the question of the Tribunal. They just said this book has been written in perspective of some people’s interview. Besides, the prosecution could not bring specific charges against Muzahid during war. Muzahid has been charged for full incident. Defense lawyers also did not deny any incident during liberation war. They just said crime is true. But Muzahid was not involved with any kinds of incidents during war. Defense lawyers will express their final arguments at tribunal on next 22 may.
