Jamaat leader Badre Alam dies; Jamaat Ameer mourns

Former Central Executive Committee member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and party’s former central Financial Affairs Secretary Badre Alam has died on 26 July night due to some old age complications at the age of 92. Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. He has left 6 sons, 3 daughters and many other relatives. After the funeral prayer at a mosque adjacent to his house in Lalbagh of the capital, he was buried in the Azimpur graveyard.

Message of condolence

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence on 27 July, 2020 at the death of Jamaat leader Badre Alam.

In the message of condolence, Jamaat Ameer stated that, since the beginning of the Islamic movement in Bangladesh, Badre Alam got involved with its activities and served the movement wholeheartedly. His concept of this movement very clean and transparent. He has served the organization as the financial affairs secretary for many years. He was highly sincere in discharging his duties. He tried to accomplish every task with due devotion. He was an elegant man. He was truly decent and modest in his behavior, manners and attires. He was clear and unhesitant in his speeches, which were his noble virtues.

I am expressing deep shock at his death. May Allah accept his services, pardons his mistakes and bless him with Jannah. May Allah help his family to hold patience. Ameen.
