Former mayor of Sylhet City Corporation Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran dies; Jamaat Ameer condoles

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence on 15 June 2020 at the death of former mayor of Sylhet city corporation and member of Bangladesh Awami League’s central working committee Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran.

The inhabitants of Sylhet have lost their fellow political leader and public representative at the demise of Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran. The day is the day of grief and sorrows for the people of Sylhet.

Sylhet always hosts a politics of compassion and harmony. Even when the politics of national arena becomes full of hostility and vengeance, Sylhet experiences a different trend. The politicians of Sylhet are used to solve the local and regional problems altogether. This situation was created because of the sober, generous and humble leader like Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran. He is no more. He was leader to whom people of all quarters got easy access.

I am praying to Allah for his departed soul. May Allah accept all his noble deeds. Like the Sylhet dwellers, I am deeply saddened at his death. May Allah bless his families, and followers to hold patience. I am extending my deep sympathy to his mournful family and relatives.
