Mubarak Hossain rearrested from jail gate; Mia Ghulam Parwar condemns

Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mia Ghulam Parwar has issued the following statement on 22nd March, 2017 protesting and condemning the re-arrest of Jamaat-e-Islami’s central working committee member Mubarak Hossain while he was released from Jessore jail.

“The government has shown its disrespect by re-arresting Jamaat-e-Islami’s central working committee member Mubarak Hossain from the jail gate immediate after his release from Jessore jail.

The government is plotting conspiracies to destroy the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami by arresting the leaders and activists of Jamaat and Chhatrashibir nationwide. It should be added here that, Jamaat’s three working committee member including Mr. Mubarak Hossain were unlawfully arrested on last 17th February from the highway of Jessore district’s Jhikorgacha Upazila.

The incumbent authoritarian government is arresting and torturing Jamaat leaders and activists in order to stay in power forcefully. But no authority can sustain in power by conducting such torture and oppression. I am urging the countrymen to raise voice against the torture and suppression of the government.

Finally, I am calling upon the concerned authorities to release all the detained leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami including Mubarak Hossain immediately.”
