Matiur Rahman Akanda protests false report of Daily Desh Rupantor which stated false information against Jamaat-e-Islami

Central Publicity Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and party’s central executive committee member Matiur Rahman Akanda has issued the following statement on 7 October 2021 protesting and gainsaying the false propaganda stated in a report titled “সরকারি চাকরিতে অনুপ্রবেশের ছক জামায়াতে ইসলামীর” (Jamaat’s plan to infiltrate in government jobs) published in Daily ‘Desh Rupantor’.

The Daily Desh Rupantor in its report titled “সরকারি চাকরিতে অনুপ্রবেশের ছক জামায়াতে ইসলামীর” (Jamaat’s plan to infiltrate in government jobs) presented some false and confusing and politically motivated information about Jamaat-e-Islami. In the aforesaid report, it has been stated that Jamaat has been trying to convince more farmers, labors and youths in order to bolster its strength. To facilitate the process, huge amount of money is coming inside the country under the banner of various NGOs. We want to assert that, there is no chance of bringing money for operating the party through the NGOs. Jamaat has no such system to make party fund. Jamaat is being operated with the money of its millions of workers, supporters, well-wishers and activists.

The report made further propaganda against Jamaat-e-Islami saying that, during the previous anti-government movement, Jamaat created a mayhem nationwide. They also accused Jamaat-e-Islami of hurling petrol bombs in the running to kill innocent passengers and also to remain involved in poll violence. We are very firm that, all these allegations against Jamaat-e-Islami are nothing but intentional propaganda. We are condemning the false and concocted report.

Finally, I am urging the authority of Daily Desh Rupantor to be refrained from publishing such false, concocted and fictitious report against Jamaat-e-Islami in future.
