The inaugural session of the book titled ‘Xi Jinping: Country Administration’ was held at the ballroom of Hotel ‘Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka’ under the initiative of the Chinese-Bangladeshi Readers Forum. Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Power, Energy, Mineral Resources, Road Transport, Bridges and Railways of the interim government, Faozul Kabir Khan, was present in the program as the chief guest. Other speakers included Honorable Ambassador of China to Bangladesh Yao Wen, Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, BNP Standing Committee member Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, and academicians, researchers, writers of the country.
Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher said that China is an emerging economic power in the world; a partner in the development of Bangladesh. China's investment and technological assistance in important infrastructure of Bangladesh, especially the Padma Bridge, Karnaphuli Tunnel and various bridges, have strengthened the relations between these two countries. The people of Bangladesh hope that this relationship will be further strengthened in the future. The book 'Xi Jinping: Country Administration' will provide an opportunity to the Bengali-speaking people to learn more about the administration, economic development, progress and people's rights in China's administrative management.
The program was also attended by former Home Minister Mr. Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, BNP Vice Chairman Abdul Awal Mintu, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Central Executive Council Member, and Jamaat's Central media and publicity secretary Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda, Central Executive Council Member and Dhaka City North Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin, leaders of various political parties, academicians, researchers, journalists, writers, readers, intellectuals and prominent citizens of China and Bangladesh.
