Fair election is not possible without the caretaker government

-Professor Mujibur Rahman

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman has claimed that the incumbent government has come to the power without votes of the public. A fair and credible election is not possible under the present government. This is why there is no alternative option but a caretaker government for the next election.

Acting Ameer said this while addressing a members’ conference of three branches of Jessore district Jamaat-e-Islami.

Acting Ameer further said, instead of miscreants, goons, and thieves, the government has kept religious scholars and innocent people behind the bar for years. The ruling party men already grabbed many non-government schools, colleges, banks, insurance, and hospitals. People will not be freed without the dethronement of the government. So, everybody has to be united and take to the street to press the demand for holding an election under a caretaker regime. The government has appointed partymen in all offices.

Those people had become involved with various misdeeds based on their party affiliation. So, if these persons are not removed, peace can never be ensured. Addressing the members, Acting Ameer said, whoever holds strong faith and surrenders before Almighty Allah sincerely will attain paradise. So, we have to work hard for the satisfaction of Allah.

Jessore east organizational district Ameer Master Nurun Nabi presided over the program which was hosted by Jessore city Jamaat Ameer Professor Golam Rasul. Jamaat’s central executive committee member and Jessore-Kushtia region’s coordinator Mobarak Hossain and central working committee member and assistant coordinator to the region Maulana Azizur Rahman addressed the program as the special guests. Among others, Jessore west district Ameer Maulana Habibur Rahman, Jessore city Secretary Golam Quddus, Jessore east district secretary Maulana Abu Jafar Siddique, and Jessore west district secretary Maulana Shihab Uddin spoke on the occasion.
