Chittagong city Jamaat’s workers’ conference held

Islamic movement activists should hold a strong position for truth and justice to free the nation from autocracy

-Professor Mujibur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former member of parliament Professor Mujibur Rahman said, “Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change it themselves. The country is in a critical condition now. Peace is found nowhere. The country has become independent to secure people’s rights including voting rights but those targets have not been achieved.

He said this while addressing a workers’ conference as the chief guest today. Chittagong city Jamaat organized the program. Jamaat’s central executive committee member, Assistant Secretary General, and Chittagong city Ameer Muhammad Shahjahan presided over the program which was hosted by city Secretary and central Majlish-e-Shura member Principal Nurul Amin. Among others, Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad, central executive committee member, and Chittagong region’s coordinator Vice Principal Abdur Rab.

Professor Mujib said a huge amount of money is being laundered from money. Looting is continuing massively. But the miscreants are not being brought to the book as they are affiliated with the ruling party. Severe discrimination is also prevailing in society. Theifs and goons are moving freely whereas innocent people and religious scholars are remaining behind the bar for years.

The constitution ensures the right of practicing religion or doing politics. But the government’s activities are contradictory to such spirits. We have to be awakened and think in a new way. We have to rescue the nation. This government has destroyed all norms, practices, and institutions. People are not allowed to talk. There is no existence of convenient environment for holding a free and fair election. We have to speak louder against injustice. Islamic movement activists should hold a strong position for truth and justice to free the nation from autocracy. Acting Ameer urged everyone to get united to continue Dawah activities and simultaneously establish the rule of Allah and the hegemony of the honest people.

Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher said, Chittagong is the door through which Islam entered this country. It is the city of offering sacrifices. Chittagong creates hope among us. We believe the journey of the Islamic movement’s victory will begin from this city as well. We are upholding the legacy of the Islamic movement, initiated by our prophets. So, we have to gain the courage of overcoming all challenges to reach our ultimate target.

Hamidur Rahman Azad said turmoil is everywhere around the globe. We are listening to the sound of the collapse of another civilization. As an alternative, there are huge possibilities for Islam. This is why the vested quarters are trying to subdue Islam. The people of the country also love Islam. So, the anti-Islamic forces tried to foil its pace.

They had made attempt to eliminate the Islamic forces. As a part of the same plan, they murdered many leaders and activists of the Islamic movement including our 5 top leaders. But they could not succeed. There is no reason for worry, by the grace of Allah, our expected victory is very near.

Maulana Abdul Halim said the target of the believers is to strive for establishing Deen. Strong faith and Jihad are its main component. This path had never been easy and will never be too. Whoever makes such an effort earlier, faced severe oppression and crackdown. But we should not be frustrated by such repression rather we have to work sincerely.

Vice Principal Abdur Rab said, there is no alternative but preaching in order to establish Islam. The activists of the Islamic movement should work in a way so that no one can remain out of the preaching network. For doing so, social services should be expanded and only then, the victory of Islam will be ensured.

Muhammad Shahjahan said we have been playing roles as an activist of Islamic movements as per our capacity. Obstruction and barriers are very common in this movement.

The government already became isolated. Very recently, they had to bag a victory in the Supreme Court Bar Association by hijacking ballot boxes. Jamaat-e-Islami has become the hope for this nation. If the leaders and activists are enriched with moral characters, then the evil forces will be compelled to bow down before them.

Among others, Dhaka city South Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul, Dhaka city North Ameer Muhammad Selim Uddin, central Majlish-e-Shura member Professor Ahsan Ullah Bhuiyan, Principal Amiruzzaman, Muhammad Jafor Sadeq, Chittagong city Nayeb-e-Ameer AZM Obaidullah and Muhammad Nazrul Islam addressed the program.
