Jamaat’s relief distribution activities continue in Sylhet

Jamaat-e-Islami has extended its cooperation to the flood victims as per its capacity

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman has said, Jamaat-e-Islami always works for the betterment of the people, particularly during a natural disaster. Jamaat-e-Islami is with the people of Sylhet flood victims. No conspiracy or ill-efforts can refrain Jamaat from doing such noble tasks. Despite lots of barriers and obstructions, Jamaat-e-Islami has extended its hands of cooperation for the flood victims. Right now, it is the obligation of the affluent people to take a stand by the side of these helpless people.

He further said most of the parts of Sylhet city are underwater. Entire Sylhet and Sunamganj districts are expriencing sevre flood. Cries and tears are everywhere. To get rid of the crisis, we have to pray more and more for seeking blessings from Almighty Allah. Jamaat was always with helpless people and will be insha Allah. Like the previous days, Jamaat-e-Islami continued its relief distribution program on Tuesday as well. The activities are still going on.

Professor Mujibur Rahman said this while distributing relief at Chotul Bazar area of Boro Chotul Union under Kanaighat Upazila of Sylhet District. Among others, Jamaat’s central executive committee member Mobarak Hossain, Sramik Kollan Federation’s Vice-President Mujibur Rahman, Sylhet North district Ameer Hafiz Anwar Hossain Khan, Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Faizullah Bahar and local leaders were present on the occasion.
