Jamaat holds meeting to review party’s ongoing preparations to celebrate golden jubilee of independence

On the eve of celebrating the golden jubilee of country’s independence, a preparatory meeting was held in an auditorium of the capital on 19 February, 2021. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Porwar presided over the meeting.

The meeting discussed about the ongoing preparations and activities to mark the great occasion of this nation. The meeting also sets several directives and instructions for party’s wing and front organizations in this regard. Among others, Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, central publicity Affairs Secretary Matiur Rahman Akanda, Dhaka North city Ameer Md. Salim Uddin and others were present in the meeting.

Professor Mia Golam Porwar said, through we have passed 50 years of our independence, but still, we cannot achieve our target, particularly in socio-economical and development arenas. At this great moment of the history, everybody should work together defying the politics of division and vengeances in order to build a peaceful and prosperous Bangladesh.
