Two-day long workshop of Rangpur-Dinajpur region held

It is our duty to help the impoverished and poor people during corona pandemic- Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Two day long virtual workshop of the Rangpur-Dinajpur region took place on 10th and 11th August. Ameer, Nayeb-e-Ameer and Secretaries of different Upazilas of this region participated in this program. Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and regional coordinator Maulana Abdul Halim presided over the meeting. While central organizing secretary Principal Maulana Momtaz Uddin and central working committee member Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal hosted the event. Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman addressed the program as the chief guest. Among others, party’s Secretary General and former lawmaker Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Assistant Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan and AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad addressed the program on specific topic. Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s team member Azizur Rahman Sarkar, Aftab Uddin Molla, Maulana Abdul Khaleq, Dr. Abdur Rahim Sarkar, Advocate Abdul Baten and district and city Ameer were also attended the program.

Addressing the program as the chief guest, Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, it is Allah’s promise to make His deen victorious. But before that, we have to make ourselves prepared. We should be more concerned about the distinction of legitimate and illegitimate items. We have to find out our loopholes and limitations and need to wipe it out. We have to take stand by the side of the repressed. The leaders should be alert about their responsibilities. They have to be well behaved with their families, societies and all associates. The women should be encouraged to get involved with the Islamic activities. We have to extend support to the helpless and impoverished people in the pandemic situation, particularly we need to assist them who became jobless during this pandemic.

Addressing the delegates, Professor Mia Golam Porwar said, we have to increase such manpower who are spontaneous, self-motivated and creative. Besides we need to protect our standard and supervision. We have to be stronger in knowledge. All grassroots leaders should work as per their oath of loyalty. The leaders should play dynamic role to keep all the organizational wing active and functional. They should be more skilled in political dealings and the usage of information technologies.
