Jamaat Ameer has no intention to resign, Tasnim Alam denounces false news of different media

Recently some newspapers and online news portal published confusing and false information saying that Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Maqbul Ahmad is no more interested to hold his office and want to step down.

Responding to such news, central publicity affairs secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Md. Tasnim Alam has issued the follows statement on 18 February, 2019.

Aforementioned information which has been published in some newspapers and online news portals is completely baseless.

This is not a fact that Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Maqbul Ahmad is not inclined to hold his office and wants to resign. This false information has been published just to tarnish the image of Jamaat-e-Islami. This information is far away from reality. Publishing such false news against a party chief clearly contradicts the spirit of honest and authentic journalism. Publishing such false news is really regrettable. The quarters which are doing these malpractices, are serving the wrong agenda of the government. But, people will never be confused and misguided by such false information.

I am urging the authorities of concerned newspapers and online news portals to be refrained from publishing such false news against Jamaat-e-Islami in future.
