Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Central Publicity Affairs Secretary Professor Tasnim Alam has issued the following statement on 25 November 2018 protesting and gainsaying the false and politically motivated report of Daily Bengali Ittefaq against Jamaat-e-Islami.

“Today’s report published in Daily Ittefaq has mentioned about the alleged relation of Jamaat-e-Islami with the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and militant organization Lashkar-e-Taiyeba which is completely baseless. I am protesting and condemning this baseless and concocted report.

Whatever is said in the report about Jamaat-e-Islami is nothing but a fiction of the concerned reporter. I am asserting that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has no relation with ISI and militant organization Lashkar-e-Taiyeba. This report is full of sheer lies.

Jamaat has no authority and capacity to operate terrorism or to launch snipper sell under the backing of ISI. The countrymen do not believe such fictitious report. These kinds of false report would tarnish the image of a renowned daily like Ittefaq.

I am urging the concerned authority to be refrained from conducting ill-motivated campaign against Jamaat-e-Islami.
