Jamaat Ameer urges to observe Revolution and Solidarity Day with due fervor

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 5 November 2020 urging to observe ‘Revolution and Solidarity Day’ on upcoming 7 November.

National Revolution and Solidarity Day is going to be observed on 7 November. In the history of Bangladesh, the day is immensely significant. The general masses from all classes and sections came to the street on that day of 1975 to protect and preserve the independence and sovereignty of the country and simultaneously to resist all conspiracies and plots.

The nation is going to observe the day this time in such a period, when there is no existence of democracy, rule of law, human rights and basic rights of the people. People’s lives and property are not secured. Criminal offences like abduction, murder, kidnap, rape and extortion are taking place alarmingly. The law enforcement agencies are also getting involved with such crimes and irregularities. Misrule and corruption have engulfed the nation. To get rid of the situation, we have to be united and vocal against the misrule and injustices.

I am urging all wings and front organizations of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and the fellow countrymen to observe ‘Revolution and Solidarity Day’ by holding discussion and prayer program.
