Jamaat Ameer at Rajshahi District and City Jamaat's Workers' Conference

The fight for establishing justice will continue to free the nation from terrorism, and extortion

-Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, the fight for establishing justice will continue to free the nation from terrorism, and extortion. He said, I humbly request those who are engaged in extortion, occupation and litigation; please do not do it. The souls of our martyrs will be hurt. Humanity will be humiliated. But if they do not pay heed to our humble request, then they should know that our war is not over.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a huge workers' conference organized by Rajshahi City and District Jamaat-e-Islami at the historic Madrasa Maidan in Rajshahi on Saturday, January 18.

The workers' conference was presided over by City Ameer Dr. Keramat Ali. The conference, jointly hosted by City Secretary Emaj Uddin Mandal, Assistant Secretary Principal Shahadat Hossain and District Secretary Golam Mortuza. The gathering was addressed as special guests by Central Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Mujibur Rahman, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Central Executive Council Member and Rajshahi Regional coordinator Principal Md. Shahabuddin and Dhaka South city Ameer and Central Executive Committee Member Nurul Islam Bulbul.

The Jamaat Ameer asked the audience to know that I hope that extortion will not occur in Rajshahi after August 5, 2024. The people here are polite, the people here are humble, no one here extorts. The answer comes from the field - no, they extort and do it randomly. The Jamaat Ameer further asks, is this respect for the martyrs? Of course not.

He said, our children are still chanting slogans. ‘the war is not over.’ So this fight will continue, God willing; until justice is established on this land. Only the Quran can provide the knowledge of establishing justice. Nothing else can. The guidance of the Quran is not only for Muslims; the rule of this Quran is the only guarantee of dignity for people of all religions, all groups, and all castes. We want to build a humane Bangladesh through the establishment of the rule of the Quran. We want to build a Bangladesh free from corruption and misrule.

He expressed his respect and commitment to sacrifice for people of all religions and said, "We will not rest even for a moment. We have no time to rest. This life is too short; but our assignment is bigger. He urged the workers present to work to establish the rule of the Quran in the country.

Highlighting the misrule of the Awami League, the Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami said, "They thought they were sovereign. Sovereign means the owner of all power. But their defeat and flight have proven that the only owner of all power is Allah; it is not possible for any party, group, country, or people to be the owner of sovereign power.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, the believers do not bow down to anyone in the world." For the past 15 and a half years, the previous government has been waging a campaign against the religious scholars. A total of 11 responsible leaders, including two Ameers, three Nayeb-Ameers, a Secretary General, two Assistant Secretary Generals and an Executive Council member of Jamaat-e-Islami, have been taken away from us. They have killed hundreds of our colleagues who protested against injustice. They have forcibly disappeared countless brothers and sisters. They have maimed, injured. They have taken away their jobs. They have evicted them from their land.

He wants to see who among those present at the workers' conference has been jailed at least once? It is seen that a large number of people in the field raise their hands. Most of the people present in the field had to serve time in jail. He points to the leaders sitting on the stage and shows that everyone sitting here has served time in jail during Awami League regime.

A group of monotheistic people lived in Najran in Arabia. The polytheists killed them by throwing them into a pit of fire. Those who were killed were called ‘Ashabul Ukhdud’. Allah Almighty gave me the opportunity to see them. The memory of a thousand years still fills that area.

They were walking around. I saw their bones and body parts scattered there. It is the testimony that the ill-doers have to face the worst consequences.

In Bangladesh too, those who gave their lives for religion and God, pray for their martyrdom to be accepted. He complained and said, what was their fault? They voiced not against the quota system rather for reforming it. But the fascist government engaged armed power against them. Those appointed goons entered the universities and beat up the students. No one in the world can give an account of how many people have been sent away from this world in those days.

Among others, the central organizing secretary, Professor Rafiqul Islam, spoke at the workers' conference.
