Former Jamaat MP Muhaddis Abu Sayeed dies; Jamaat Ameer condoles

Former MP of Jessore-2 (Jhikorgacha-Chowgacha), Nayeb-e-Ameer of Jessore West organizational district, noted religious personality, Principal of Poddobila Fazila Madrasa Principal Muhaddis Abu Sayeed Muhammad Shahadat Hossain was addressing an online religious discussion on 30th May. Immediate after that address, he suddenly became sick and was instantly taken to the hospital. He died in the same hospital at around 3.30 in the afternoon. (Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). He was 60. He has left his wife, 3 sons, two daughters and many relatives. His younger brother is renowned poet Mosharraf Hossain Khan, who is serving Kishor Kantha as the editor. His first funeral prayer will be held tomorrow on 9.30 in the morning at Jhikorgacha ML High School ground and his second Janaja (funeral prayer) will be held at 11 in the morning in his native village at Bankra. Later, he will be buried in his family graveyard.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence on 30 May 2020 at the death of Principal Muhaddis Abu Sayeed Muhammad Shahadat Hossain.

Principal Muhaddis Abu Sayeed Muhammad Shahadat Hossain was a popular political figure. He was very close to the general masses. Being a member of the parliament during the 4 party alliances government, he served his constituency by constructing many schools, colleges, mosques, bridges, roads and other establishments. 

I am expressing deep shock at his death. May Allah accept his contributions to bless him with Jannah. May Allah make his family capable to hold patience in this painful period. Ameen.
