On the afternoon of December 10, the Honorable Ambassador of Iran in Dhaka, Mr. Mansour Chavoshi met with Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. The meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere.

During the meeting, issues related to bilateral interests were discussed openly. It was expressed that the progress, and development trend of both countries and the friendly relations will be further strengthened in the future. The positive role of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in various democratic movements in Bangladesh and the constructive role of Jamaat-e-Islami's elected representatives in the National Assembly were highlighted as well.

The Iranian Ambassador was accompanied by Political Secretary Mr. Javed Askari. Whereas, Jamaat's Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman and Dr. Syed Abdullah Md. Taher, Assistant Secretary General Advocate Moazzam Hossain Helal, Central Executive Council Member and Jamaat's publicity and media Secretary Matiur Rahman Akanda were present during the meeting on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami.
