On the afternoon of Monday, November 25, a four-member delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, led by its Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman met with the representatives of 8 European Union (EU) countries at the residence of the Ambassador of the European Union, H.E. Sebastian Riger-Brown in Gulshan, Dhaka, at his invitation. The meeting was held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.

During the meeting, the hope was expressed that the development, progress, and bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the European Union will become even stronger in the future.

Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar and Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan accompanied the Jamaat Ameer. The following honorable representatives of the 8 EU countries were also present in the meeting:
