Daily Sangram Editor Abul Asad's wife dies; Jamaat Ameer condoles

Begum Zeboon Nessa, wife of prominent journalist, columnist, writer and Daily Sangram editor Mr. Abul Asad, passed away on October 31 at 4 am in a private hospital in the capital Dhaka (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). She has left many relatives including husband, 2 sons and 2 daughters.

Janaza of Begum Zebun Nesa completed

On October 31, Namaz-e-Janaja of Begum Zebun Nesa was held after the Johor prayer at Journalist Colony Masjidul Farooq in Mirpur, Dhaka. Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Central Executive Council Member and Ameer of Dhaka City South Nurul Islam Bulbul, Central Executive Council Member Mobarak Hossain, Dhaka North City Secretary Dr. Rezaul Karim along with many Jamaat-e-Islami leaders, journalists and other devotees attended the funeral.

Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence on 31st October expressing deep grief over the death of Begum Zebun Nesa, wife of prominent journalist, columnist, writer and Daily Sangram editor Abul Asad.

Begum Zebun Nessa, the wife of Mr. Abul Asad, the shining star of the journalistic world and the editor of Daily Sangram, was a pious and virtuous woman. As a devoted activist of the Islamic movement, he dreamed of an Islamic welfare state in Bangladesh and worked tirelessly to materialise the dream. She played an important role in inviting and promoting Islam among women.

May Allah Ta'ala have mercy on this noble lady, grant him peace, and forgiveness and bless her with Jannah. May Allah Almighty help her with His mercy. May Allah Almighty bless her husband, children, relatives and well-wishers.
