The role of mufassirs in building an ideal society is immense. Because they are the leaders of the nation. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said this while addressing a conference organized by Bangladesh Majlisul Mufassirin.
He further said, “Mufassirs are the guides of the wayward nation. They are the blessing for a society as they guide the nation to find the right path. You are the leader of the nation. We remember with respect those who had performed this duty in the past. They were ready to sacrifice their lives in the path of Allah, if necessary. The task of promoting religion has many obstacles and the Mufassirs have to be prepared for facing such obstacle and subsequently to move forward.
He said, the Mufassir community are very much aware of the spiritual food that the general people want from tafsir mahfil. I invite you to be more aware. If your speech is in the light of the Quran-Sunnah and the lives of the Companions, then people can learn from it and apply it in their real lives. Moreover, each speech of mufassir is able to turn the nation toward right direction.
In memory of Allama Delawar Hussain Sayedee (Rahimahullah), he said, I miss him a lot today. He has arranged the garden of flower known as Tafsir-ul-Quran. If he was here today, he could have watched it with his noble heart. I met him twice in prison. He wished to return to the field of the Qur'an and visit the Holy Kaaba. But he sacrificed everything in the path of Allah. You should do your best to carry on the work he left behind. He is the founding president of this organization, Allama Hazrat Maulana Lutfar Rahman, and others, who have been martyred for the promotion of religion, who have been persecuted, who have been victims of lawsuits and attacks, I am seeking the best reward from Allah for them."

Central president of Ulema Division, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, chief adviser of Dhaka South City Nurul Islam Bulbul, and chief adviser of Dhaka North City Mohammad Salim Uddin, former central president of student organization Saiful Alam Khan Milon, president of Bangladesh Masjid Mission Principal Maulana Zainul Abedin, Professor of Bangladesh Islamic University Dr. A.N.M. Rafiqur Rahman Madani, Tamirul Millat Kamil Madrasara Principal Abu Yusuf, Maulana Dr. Samiul Haque Faruqi, Maulana Abdus Samad, Secretary General of Bangladesh Masjid Mission Maulana Khalilur Rahman Madani, Principal Maulana Shahjahan, President of Ulama Division of Dhaka South City Principal Maulana Musharraf Hossain, President of Ulama Division of Dhaka North City Dr. Habibur Rahman, Bangladesh Islamic University Professor A.N.M. Rashid Ahmad Al Madani, Muhaddis of Madinatul Uloom Kamil Madrasa Dr. Abul Kalam Azad Bashar, Shah Arif Billah Siddiqui of Sharshina, Alhaz Shamim Sayedee, Mufassiree Quran Mufti Amir Hamza and President of Aimma Ulama Parishad Mufti Rezaul Karim Abrar and others were present in the program as special guests.
The special guests said in their speech, "The role of scholars was immense in protecting the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh throughout the ages. Even in the last 5th August victory, the sacrifice of scholars was unprecedented. Many Imam-Khatibs have given their lives, suffer paralysis, lost their eyes for a lifetime that will remain history. The mufassirs should forget all differences and work unitedly to build the Bangladesh of the future. As a devoted servant of Islam, everyone has to lead a life based on the hereafter.
Maulana Kamrul Islam Saeed Ansari, Maulana Abdullah Al-Amin, Maulana Musharraf Hossain, Maulana Mushtaq Farayezi, Maulana Lutfar Rahman, Maulana Fakhruddin Ahmed, Abdul Momen Naseri, Maulana Nasir Uddin Helali, Maulana Ruhul Amin, Muhaddis Mahmudul Hasan, Muhaddis Abu Nashar Ashrafi, Maulana Mahmudur Rahman Delwar, Maulana Sadiqur Rahman Azhari and Maulana Mustafiz Rahmani addressed the program as well.
In the conference, Islamic song was performed by artist Moshiur Rahman, Secretary of Majlisul Mufassirin Dhaka Metropolitan North Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Azhari, artist Rokonuzzaman, artist Kabir Bin Samad, artist Neamatullah Nizami. More than three thousand Mufassir from all over the country participated in the conference
