Jamaat Ameer extends greetings to the countrymen on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 12 May 2021 extending greetings to the fellow countrymen on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

“We are at the last end of the Holy month of Ramadan, in which the holy Quran was revealed. The joyful occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr is approaching before us following a month-long training of ingraining the fear of Allah amongst us and also to comply the rules and doctrines of Almighty Allah in all stages of our lives including our personal, social and national lives.

This year, we are going to experience Eid day in such a crucial time when people are leading miserable lives due to adverse impact of coronavirus pandemic worldwide. Under the circumstances, I am extending greetings to the countrymen with a downhearted mind.

Amid this sorrowful atmosphere, I am urging my fellow countrymen to celebrate the joy of Eid-ul-Fitr through mutual cooperation and sacrifices so that the destitute people can also enjoy the charm of the day. We should follow the health directives and regulations set by the Healthcare Department while praying Eid Salah and attending other social rituals.

We humbly pray to Almighty Allah seeking His divine blessing to get rid of the pandemic situation and other adversities. I am personally and on behalf of my beloved organization Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, wishing peace, prosperity, good health and secured lives of my fellow citizens. Besides, I am extending the greetings of holy Eid-ul-Fitr to the countrymen once again.
